Dr. Orna Guralnik to Deliver Everlaw Summit ’26 Keynote
Couples Therapy star shares what working with people in conflict can teach legal professionals about judgment, persuasion, and perspective.

Few professions spend more time navigating disagreement than the law.
Legal professionals routinely encounter people who see the same facts differently, hold firmly to competing narratives, and arrive at difficult conversations with deeply entrenched positions. And that can just be at the firm happy hour.
Navigating these encounters requires more than simply knowing the facts. It requires understanding how people interpret reality — and how perspective, emotion, and experience shape what they are willing or able to see.
Attendees to Everlaw Summit ‘26 will get a masterclass on navigating conflict, competing narratives, entrenched positions, and difficult conversations, directly from the psychoanalyst and consulting producer of Showtime’s “Couples Therapy” and just-announced Summit keynote speaker, Dr. Orna Guralnik.

Dr. Orna Guralnik is a clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst, and writer. She is faculty of the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychoanalysis and serves on the editorial board of Psychoanalytic Dialogues.
As the face of “Couples Therapy,” now in its sixth season on Showtime and Paramount+, Dr. Guralnik, brings millions of viewers inside real therapy sessions as couples confront conflict, examine longstanding patterns, and work to better understand themselves and one another.
At Summit, Dr. Guralnik will draw on lessons from her clinical practice to examine the psychological dynamics behind conflicts. Through a discussion of the psychological dynamics that shape how we interpret facts, respond to disagreement, and understand other perspectives, the conversation will surface insights for legal professionals whose work depends on judgment, persuasion, negotiation, collaboration, and seeing complex situations clearly.
Her work offers a particularly compelling lens for legal professionals. Attorneys, investigators, and other legal practitioners are constantly asked to assess conflicting accounts, persuade people with different perspectives, negotiate through disagreement, and make consequential judgments under uncertainty.
Attendees will come away with new ways to think about how people arrive at positions, efforts at persuasion, the art of negotiation, collaboration, and the difficult work of seeing a situation through differing lenses.
